Read MoreThis is my last night in Mizoram, India. Mizoram is a beautiful, hilly, cold place--perfect to get me in the mood for crocheting. We were able to visit with lots of relatives and make some new friends. As a predominantely Christian state, they celebrate Christmas and New Years like no other place in India with decorations lighting up the night mountain landscape. As you may imagine, this is a huge electrical power draw, so they pretty much had planned power cuts during the days from Christmas to New Years. With no internet or electronics, I was very glad I had my yarn and hook.

I was super excited to find out that my Aunt Tabitha is able to join us in Calcutta in January and then we are off to Jamtara and Hyderbad to meet the women that will hopefully be the pilot program for the ChotiHooks endeavor!
