Making a difference one loop at a time

We were inspired to start this business after Christine met some very talented women in India and Nepal. The idea for this business has been germinating since 2013 and we have been building our product ideas and talent network for the past few years. The goal of Choti Hooks is three fold:

1. Produce high quality crotchet baby products
2. Empower women in rural and inner cities
3. Partner with NGOs that seek to promote safe and productive communities

Christine and her friend Holly together work to design contemporary and functional patterns for babies and children. The patterns are then transferred to selected sites where skilled women work to learn the patterns and manufacture the goods in safe and flexible environments. We work with women who have already been trained by NGOs in crocheting, knitting and tailoring. These women are eager to use their skills to provide for themselves and their families.
